Problem Note 54952: The tab for SAS® Add-In for Microsoft Office does not appear in Microsoft Office

If SAS Add-In 6.1 or 7.1 for Microsoft Office is installed in a non-default installation path, it will not be active in Microsoft Office. If you attempt to make it active, it fails and causes the following error. Notice that the installation path in the screen shot shows a non-default installation path.
To correct the issue, do one of the following:
- Uninstall SAS Add-In 6.1 or 7.1 for Microsoft Office and reinstall it using the default installation path.
- Or install the latest version of the Microsoft Visual Studio Tools for Office (VSTO) 10.0 runtime components. After the latest VSTO 10.0 runtime components have been installed, you should see the SAS tab when you open Microsoft Excel.
